Phases: Alessi Air Purifier

The Alessi product portfolio includes hundreds of designers and architects who all impart their own aesthetic into Alessi's colorful design language. Because of this, I had to identify how to design a product not to look like Alessi, but to FEEL like Alessi. The final design has a monolithic form inspired by Alessi's early architectural influences, a black to white gradation that symbolizes the air entering dirty and leaving clean, and a user interaction that is playful and inviting, but also functional as it visually communicates the fan speed through a change in shape.
