MEGA: Office Pendant Light

This project was done after taking a tour of the Fagerhult lighting factory and talking with their engineers and designers. I was amazed at Fagerhult's ability to use efficient manufacturing techniques to produce visually beautiful designs while still keeping lighting ergonomics a top priority.

The MEGA pendent light concept achieves a striking aesthetic by using simple yet contrasting forms and colors, designed to be producible by the manufacturing systems currently being used at Fagerhult. Besides the main light, MEGA also has an indirect light at the top to achieve more even lighting conditions. Both the main light and indirect light are fitted with opal diffusers to evenly spread light and minimize excess glare.
